With day one of the Festival been and gone we swiftly move on to day two, Queen Mother Champion Chase day. The race of the day looks somewhat a formality with the 'superstar' Douvan looking to make it a third win at the Cheltenham Festival. Once again we face a competitive days racing but hopefully we have a couple of
nice bet's lined up.
1.30pm - Neptunes Novices Hurdle - Neon Wolf 15/8 - Not a great start to the Festival for favourite backers on day one but there is plenty of hope that Neon Wolf could get day two off to a flyer. Unbeaten in three starts for trainer Harry Fry, including a Grade 2 latest, Neon Wolf looks a potential superstar in the making. Although he has plenty of opposition in numbers most of them look to lack the class of the favourite, making him day
two's banker.
2.50pm - Coral Cup - Peregrine Run 9/1 - Although the Coral Cup is one of the most competitive races of the whole festival we think we have found a solid selection for the race. Peregrine Run could have been potentially running in the Grade
1 Albert Bartlett but due to a lenient looking handicap mark connections have chosen the handicap route. A Grade 2 winner over course and distance in November he looks to have an outstanding chance back in handicap company.Β
4.10pm - Cross Country Chase - Cause Of Causes
7/2 - This Festival regular goes for a third win in three years at Prestbury Park in a third different race. Although Cause Of Causes is inexperienced in this unique test he looks to have the class needed to make a smooth transition. Trainer Gordon Elliott has already had 3 winners on day one and will hopefully add to that with a stable favourite Cause Of Causes.
