Well, we're over half way through the Cheltenham Festival and it looks so far that the bookies have the slight advantage over the punters.
In yesterday's showpiece there was a huge shock as the previously unbeaten Douvan floundered and was well beaten. He was found to be injured after the race
but will hopefully be back to fight another day.
We managed to bag a nice winner with Cause Of Causes and was extremely unlucky with Neon Wolf in the opener. Hopefully we can kick on now into day three.
2.10pm - Pertemps Handicap Hurdle - Jury Duty 8/1 - In a very competitive handicap hurdle for stayers we look to the in form stable of Gordon Elliott in pursuit of the winner. Our selection Jury
Duty looks a very unexposed stayer in the making with that touch of class needed in a race like this. With only two runs under his belt this season he looks to have been laid out for this contest and should be bang there come the finish.
3.30pm - Stayers' Hurdle -
Unowhatimeanharry 11/8 - Harry Fry's not stop improver looks the 'banker' of the day for many. Unowhatimeanharry has 8 wins from 8 races under Fry and is widely fancied to add one more win to that tally, his most important to date. A winner at the festival last year Unowhatimeanharry has already beaten most of today's opposition and should do so again today, hopefully getting favourite backers back on track.
4.10pm - Brown Advisory Handicap Chase - Diamond King 9/2 - Last year's Coral Cup winner, over hurdles, Diamond King is back for more at the Cheltenham Festival this time over fences. Although a competitive looking race he looks the standout contender, trained again by the in form Gordon Elliott. Diamond King runs off
a similar mark to when winning the Coral Cup and we're hopeful he will repeat the dose now over the larger obstacles.
Daily Acca:
