The What Acca App - Download it now!

Published: Tue, 11/01/16

Hi

After what feels like a life time, the What Acca app has finally arrived!

You may remember that some months ago I sent out a questionnaire to see what you all wanted from the app. There were some really great ideas and I can't thank you enough for the time that you all spent filling in that questionnaire.

I wasn't able to implement all the features that I had hoped, mainly because these features are very expensive to install and I can't justify the cost just yet. But, think of this as What Acca 1.0 and as it grows I will hopefully get everything that I want on it.

Where to download?

The app is available on both iOS and Android. It's fully compatible with tablet devices so if you want to use them, then be my guest. Use the links below to navigate to the app for iOS and Android.

Android (Google Play):  Download now

So, what can you expect?

The app is going to include the days latest acca. It's also going to have sections for specialised accumulator bets from different betting markets. For example, at the minute I have a BTTS acca page and the Over 2.5 Goals acca page. These bets will only be available from within the app.

I'm working on a few new features that hopefully I can get installed sooner rather than later, but as a one-man-band with a limited budget for this (all comes out my own pocket) this may take some time.

Whats going to happen with the emails?

The emails will still be sent out at the same frequency they always were. The app will be a way to check to see if you maybe missed a bet or just to stay bang up to date. I get a lot of emails asking if bets have been sent out or saying that they don't always receive the email, so you can use the app as point of reference for any bets.

£10 - £1,000 Challenges

I'm keen to get some of these rolling as I see a lot of people having success with them. I think they're great fun as well and the app will be the home of these bets.

So, the app is basically going to work alongside the email list, but you will be able to access a lot more bets direct from the app.

Push notifications

One of the easiest ways for me to let you know when new accumulators are put on the app is to use push notifications. I know that these can get annoying, especially when we all have dozens of apps these days. I would urge you to keep them switched on though as it allows you to stay up to date and also means if there are last minute bets I want to tell you about, I can without you missing out.

You should be prompted to allow notifications when you install the app, but if you don't then simply head the settings on your phone and navigate towards the notifications section.

Finally...

I would love it if you could leave me feedback on the app in the relevant app stores. I know it's pretty basic at the minute, but A LOT of time and effort has gone in to just getting it to where it is now. I don't ask for much but if you could give it 5 stars and say it's the best app ever that would be great.... just kidding, but I'd really appreciate any feedback, both positive and negative.

If you have any issues with the app, then just drop me an email. As those of you who do email me on a regular basis will know, I tend to get back to you fairly quickly so hopefully I can help.

Thanks so much for helping me get What Acca to where it is now. We have over 5,000 people subscribed to the mailing list now and the buzz I get when we all win is irreplaceable.

Talk to you soon,

Jon
